Thermalright Unveils Peerless Assassin 120 Vision Max CPU Cooler with Integrated Display
Thermalright has announced the Peerless Assassin 120 Vision Max, a high-end addition to its renowned Peerless Assassin 120 series of dual fin-stack (type-D) CPU coolers. This latest model stands out with a vibrant true-color display integrated into the top-plate, offering both advanced cooling performance and enhanced system aesthetics.
Premium Design and Build Quality
The Peerless Assassin 120 Vision Max is available in two sleek color options: black and white. With both 120 mm fans installed, the cooler measures 135 mm in depth, 125 mm in width, and 164 mm in height. While the official weight has not been disclosed, the cooler’s robust construction is evident in its use of a C1100 nickel-plated copper base. Six 6 mm-thick heat pipes efficiently transfer heat from the CPU, distributing it across two aluminum fin stacks for optimal thermal dissipation.
Advanced Cooling Performance
The cooling system features a dual-fan configuration. The first fan directs fresh air into the initial fin stack, while the second fan, positioned between the two stacks, channels airflow through the second fin stack. This arrangement maximizes heat transfer and ensures consistent cooling, making the Peerless Assassin 120 Vision Max suitable for high-performance CPUs and demanding workloads.
Integrated 5-Inch True-Color Display
One of the standout features of the Vision Max is its 5-inch true-color display, boasting a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The display spans the top of both fin stacks and the space between them, providing a seamless and modern look. It connects to the motherboard via a standard 9-pin USB 2.0 header and can be customized to show a variety of information, including real-time system monitoring data, custom graphics, or other user-defined content.
High-Performance TL-K12 Series Fans
The included Thermalright TL-K12 series fans utilize fluid dynamic bearings for durability and quiet operation. Each fan supports 4-pin PWM input, allowing precise speed control up to 2150 RPM. At maximum speed, the fans deliver up to 69 CFM of airflow and 2.87 mm H₂O of static pressure, with a noise level capped at 27 dBA. This combination ensures efficient cooling while maintaining low acoustic output.
