Seagate Unveils New Storage Solutions for Consumers, Gamers, and Creative Professionals
Seagate has introduced a refreshed lineup of external storage devices, expanding its offerings across the Seagate, FireCuda, and LaCie brands. These new products are designed to meet a wide range of needs, from everyday data backup to demanding creative workflows.
Seagate One Touch: Effortless Desktop Storage
The Seagate One Touch desktop drive is the most straightforward option in the new lineup, aimed at users seeking reliable and easy-to-use storage. Available in 8 TB, 20 TB, and 24 TB capacities, the One Touch features a bus-powered 3.5-inch USB-C design, eliminating the need for an external power brick. With simple drag-and-drop setup and cross-platform compatibility for both Windows and Mac, it’s ideal for seamless file transfers and backups.
Seagate includes its Toolkit backup software for automated data protection, along with Rescue Data Recovery Services for added peace of mind. The One Touch is positioned as a companion to fast internal NVMe drives, providing ample space for backups and large files without sacrificing speed or convenience.
FireCuda X Vault: High-Capacity Storage for Gamers and Streamers
For gamers, streamers, and content creators, Seagate introduces the FireCuda X Vault. Available in 8 TB and 20 TB capacities, this desktop storage solution is also bus-powered via USB-C, requiring only a single cable for both power and data. The FireCuda X Vault stands out with customizable RGB lighting, including support for Windows Dynamic Lighting, allowing users to personalize their setup.
Designed to complement high-performance internal NVMe drives, the FireCuda X Vault is certified for Xbox on PC and comes bundled with an Xbox Game Pass trial. Rescue Data Recovery Services are also included, ensuring data protection for valuable game libraries and media collections.
LaCie 8big Pro5: Professional-Grade RAID Storage for Creative Workflows
At the top end of Seagate’s new lineup is the LaCie 8big Pro5, a multi-bay RAID enclosure built for video editors, photographers, and production teams handling 4K/8K video and large RAW image libraries. Leveraging Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, the 8big Pro5 delivers transfer speeds up to 2,800 MB/s in RAID 0 and supports bandwidth up to 120 Gbps. It also provides up to 140 W of power delivery, making it suitable for charging and powering connected laptops during intensive workflows.
The LaCie 8big Pro5 is available in capacities ranging from 32 TB to a massive 256 TB. It supports multiple RAID configurations for either speed or data redundancy, and comes with RAID Manager software, a 5-year limited warranty, and Rescue Data Recovery Services for professional-grade reliability.
