ASUS has officially entered the high-performance PC memory market with the launch of its first Republic of Gamers (ROG) branded DDR5 memory kits. These new memory modules are designed for PC enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance and distinctive aesthetics. The initial release is available in China, with BIWIN serving as the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the kits.
Distinctive Design Celebrates 20 Years of ROG
The ROG DDR5 memory modules feature a striking black and red color scheme, accented with gold highlights to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ROG brand. ASUS recommends pairing these memory kits with its limited edition ROG Crosshair X870E 2006 20th Anniversary Edition motherboard for a cohesive and high-performance build.
High-Capacity, High-Speed DDR5 Performance
The new ROG memory kit offers a total capacity of 48 GB, comprising two 24 GB DIMMs. These modules operate at DDR5-6000 speeds and feature tight timings of 26-36-36-76, ensuring fast and reliable performance for demanding applications and gaming workloads.
Broad Compatibility and Exclusive ROG Features
To maximize compatibility, the ROG DDR5 memory supports both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles, making it suitable for a wide range of modern platforms. Additionally, ASUS has introduced a unique "ROG Mode" profile extension, which is optimized for ASUS ROG Crosshair, ROG Maximus, and ROG Strix motherboards. This exclusive profile enables enhanced performance and stability when paired with compatible ASUS hardware.
Advanced RGB Lighting and Aura Sync Integration
Each module is equipped with an addressable RGB (ARGB) LED kit, allowing users to customize lighting effects through ASUS Aura Sync. The lighting can be controlled via the Armoury Crate application, enabling seamless synchronization with other ROG components for a unified look.
Pricing and ROG-Certified Memory Program
The special edition ROG DDR5 memory kit is priced at RMB ¥5,999, approximately USD $880. In addition to the launch, ASUS has announced the ROG-certified memory program. This initiative allows leading DDR5 memory vendors to offer ROG-themed and badged memory modules featuring ROG Mode profile extensions for optimized timings and full Aura Sync RGB support.
