ASRock Unveils Updated Fanless iBox Mini PCs for Industrial Applications
ASRock has introduced new additions to its fanless iBox mini PC series, specifically engineered for industrial environments. The latest models are powered by Intel’s advanced Core Ultra processors, offering a choice between the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H and the Intel Core Ultra 5 325. These CPUs are designed to deliver robust performance while maintaining energy efficiency, making them ideal for demanding industrial tasks.
High-Performance Memory and Expandable Storage
The updated iBox mini PCs support dual-channel DDR5 memory, with the Core Ultra X7 variant accommodating DDR5-7200 RAM and the Ultra 5 325 model supporting DDR5-6400. Both configurations allow for up to 128 GB of memory and feature in-band ECC (Error-Correcting Code) support, ensuring data integrity and system reliability in mission-critical applications. While storage is not included out of the box, the systems provide flexibility with both M.2 2242 and 2280 (M key) slots, enabling users to customize storage solutions according to their needs.
Durable Aluminum Chassis and Efficient Cooling
The iBox mini PCs are housed in a robust aluminum chassis weighing 3 kg. This design not only enhances durability but also serves as a passive cooling solution for the Panther Lake internals, eliminating the need for fans and reducing maintenance requirements. The fanless architecture is particularly advantageous in industrial settings where dust and debris can compromise traditional cooling systems.
Comprehensive Connectivity for Industrial Use
ASRock’s iBox mini PCs are equipped with a wide array of high-speed connectivity options to meet diverse industrial demands. The front panel includes:
- USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port
- Thunderbolt 4/USB4 port with DisplayPort 2.1 support
- USB 3.2 Gen2 ×2 Type-C port with DisplayPort 1.4a support
- Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports
- 3.5 mm audio jack
- COM port for legacy device compatibility
On the rear, users will find:
- Dual HDMI 2.1 ports for multi-display setups
- Two 2.5 Gb Ethernet LAN ports for high-speed networking
- Two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports
- OOB (Out-of-Band) port for remote power management, including on/off and reset functions
Designed for Reliability and Flexibility
The updated ASRock iBox mini PCs are tailored for industrial applications that demand reliability, expandability, and robust connectivity. With support for the latest Intel Core Ultra processors, high-speed DDR5 memory, and a comprehensive selection of I/O ports, these fanless systems are well-suited for automation, control systems, and other mission-critical deployments.
