AMD has expanded its RDNA 4 graphics card lineup by shipping the new Radeon RX 9050 series to OEMs and board partners. The series includes two variants: the Radeon RX 9050 4 GB and the Radeon RX 9050 8 GB. Both models are designed to deliver efficient performance for entry-level gaming and mainstream computing, with the primary difference lying in their memory configurations.

Both the 4 GB and 8 GB versions of the Radeon RX 9050 are built with 1,024 Streaming Processors distributed across 16 Compute Units. Each card is capable of reaching boost clock speeds up to 2.6 GHz, ensuring responsive performance for everyday tasks and light gaming.

The main distinction between the two models is their memory setup:

  • Radeon RX 9050 4 GB: Equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 64-bit bus, this variant offers a memory bandwidth of 144 GB/s.
  • Radeon RX 9050 8 GB: Features 8 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus, doubling the memory bandwidth to 288 GB/s for improved data throughput and multitasking capabilities.

ASRock Introduces Radeon RX 9050 Challenger Series

ASRock has emerged as AMD’s first launch partner for the new Radeon RX 9050 series, unveiling the Radeon RX 9050 Challenger 4 GB alongside its 8 GB counterpart. Both cards are designed with a standard form factor, measuring 249 x 132 x 41 mm, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of PC cases.

For power requirements, ASRock recommends a 450 W power supply and utilizes a single 8-pin PCIe power connector for both models. The cards feature an all-black aesthetic, offering a sleek and modern look suitable for most PC builds.
