Sapphire Unveils Radeon RX 9050 Pulse 8 GB: Entry-Level RDNA 4 Graphics Card

Sapphire has announced the launch of its Radeon RX 9050 Pulse 8 GB graphics card, expanding AMD’s RX 9000 series with a new entry-level option. This latest model leverages the advanced RDNA 4 graphics architecture and is built on a refined version of Sapphire’s RX 9060 XT Pulse board design, offering a compact yet powerful solution for mainstream gamers and PC builders.

Technical Specifications and Architecture

The Radeon RX 9050 is powered by AMD’s 4 nm “Navi 44” silicon. Out of the 32 compute units available on the chip, 16 are enabled, delivering a total of 1,024 stream processors. Notably, the RX 9050 retains the full 32 MB Infinity Cache present on the silicon, which helps boost memory bandwidth and overall performance. The card also utilizes the complete 128-bit wide GDDR6 memory interface, paired with 8 GB of high-speed 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory, ensuring smooth performance in modern gaming and creative workloads.

Efficient Cooling and Power Design

Sapphire’s RX 9050 Pulse 8 GB features a robust cooling solution, incorporating a dense aluminum fin-stack heatsink and two 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes for effective heat dissipation. The heatsink is cooled by a pair of 70 mm fans, maintaining optimal temperatures even during extended gaming sessions. The graphics card requires a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, supporting a typical board power of 100 W, making it energy-efficient and compatible with a wide range of PC builds.

Connectivity and Form Factor

For display connectivity, the RX 9050 Pulse 8 GB offers two HDMI 2.1b ports and one DisplayPort 2.1a connector, supporting high refresh rates and resolutions for modern monitors. The card measures 20 cm in length, 12.2 cm in height, and occupies two PCIe slots, making it suitable for compact and mid-sized cases. Sapphire has not yet disclosed official pricing for this model.
