SilverStone ALTA T2: A Super Tower Case Engineered for Multi-GPU and AI Workstations

SilverStone has officially introduced the ALTA T2, a super tower PC case designed to meet the demanding requirements of multi-GPU workstations and high-density AI computing environments. First unveiled as a prototype at Computex, the ALTA T2 is now positioned as a premium chassis for professionals and enthusiasts seeking robust hardware support and advanced cooling capabilities.

Premium Build and Extensive Compatibility

The ALTA T2 is constructed from high-quality aluminum panels ranging from 3 to 8 mm in thickness, ensuring both durability and a refined appearance. With dimensions of 260 x 732 x 660 mm and a total internal volume of 125.6 liters, this super tower offers ample space for complex builds.

Motherboard compatibility is a standout feature, supporting a wide range of form factors including XL-ATX, SSI-EEB, SSI-CEB, E-ATX, ATX, microATX, and Mini-ITX. The case is equipped with eleven PCIe expansion slots, making it ideal for multi-GPU configurations required in AI research, deep learning, and professional rendering tasks. GPU clearance extends up to 411 mm, and a dedicated graphics cardholder is included to provide additional support for heavy, high-performance graphics cards.

Advanced Cooling and Airflow Design

The ALTA T2 features a vertical chimney airflow layout, optimizing thermal management for high-density systems. It supports up to three 420 mm radiators, two large 180 mm intake fans, and multiple additional fan positions to ensure efficient heat dissipation. For custom water-cooling enthusiasts, a distro plate mounting bracket is included, allowing for flexible and sophisticated loop designs.

Flexible Storage and Power Options

Storage versatility is another highlight, with support for 5.25-inch, 3.5-inch, and 2.5-inch drives. The integrated drive cage features a fan mounting system to maintain optimal temperatures for storage devices, even under heavy workloads.

Power delivery is designed for high-performance systems, offering a dual-PSU setup. Users can install either an ATX or 2U CRPS power supply as the primary unit, with an additional standard ATX PSU as secondary. This configuration is particularly beneficial for kilowatt-class systems that require more power than a single PSU can provide.

Modern Connectivity and Front I/O

The front I/O panel of the ALTA T2 is equipped with two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and a combo audio jack, ensuring convenient access to high-speed connectivity and audio peripherals.

SilverStone has not yet announced pricing details for the ALTA T2, but its feature set positions it as a compelling choice for professionals building advanced workstations or AI compute rigs.
