Desktop-First Strategy for New CPU Cores

This desktop-first strategy means that Intel’s upcoming processor generation, codenamed “Nova Lake-S,” will debut on desktop platforms. The new “Coyote Cove” Performance Cores (P-Cores) and “Arctic Wolf” Efficient Cores (E-Cores) are set to be available to desktop users before they make their way into server products. This approach contrasts with AMD’s roadmap, where the latest Zen 6 CPU technology is introduced first in the EPYC “Venice” server processors and only later transitions to desktop CPUs.
