Despite being purchased unopened and appearing legitimate at first glance—with intact packaging, a standard heatsink, and authentic labeling—the module turned out to be anything but genuine.
Upon opening the memory stick, the buyer noticed several red flags. The soldering work was noticeably sloppy, with visible flux residue and unused PCB pads. Most notably, the module contained DDR4 memory chips soldered onto the PCB instead of the expected DDR5 chips.
