Watercool Unveils HEATKILLER V PRO and ULTRA CPU Water Coolers for AMD AM4 and AM5
Over a decade after the debut of the HEATKILLER IV, Watercool has introduced the next generation of its renowned CPU water coolers: the HEATKILLER V PRO and HEATKILLER V ULTRA. Engineered specifically for AMD’s latest AM4 and AM5 sockets, these new models expand Watercool’s product lineup while the trusted HEATKILLER IV remains available.
Innovative Cooling Structure Tailored for Modern Ryzen CPUs
The HEATKILLER V series features a completely reimagined cooling structure, designed to address the high heat flux densities of contemporary AMD Ryzen processors. Every aspect—from the base plate and fin structure to the residual base thickness and airflow guidance—has been optimized for maximum thermal performance.
The HEATKILLER V ULTRA stands out with an exceptionally fine 0.15 mm fin structure, delivering superior heat dissipation. The HEATKILLER V PRO, meanwhile, utilizes a 0.25 mm fin design, balancing performance and durability.
Enhanced Mounting System and Advanced aRGB Lighting
Installation is streamlined thanks to a new pre-assembled mounting system, ensuring precise alignment, secure fitment, and even contact pressure across the CPU surface. This user-friendly approach simplifies setup for both enthusiasts and professionals.
For visual appeal, the HEATKILLER V ULTRA incorporates 43 low-power aRGB LEDs, arranged to provide uniform, indirect illumination and minimize visible hotspots. This design delivers a clean, modern look that complements high-end PC builds.
Performance Recognition and Thermal Paste Included
At launch, the HEATKILLER V ULTRA earned top marks in independent testing by PC Games Hardware, confirming its position as a leading performer in CPU cooling. The cooler’s high thermal efficiency and optimized airflow meet the demands of today’s high-performance AMD processors.
Each HEATKILLER V ULTRA includes 1 gram of Halnziye HY-P17 high-performance thermal paste, ensuring an optimal thermal interface between the CPU and the cooler base for maximum heat transfer.
Availability and Upcoming Full-Metal Versions
The HEATKILLER V series initially launches in acrylic versions, with full-metal variants scheduled for release in October 2026. The black acrylic edition is currently available for pre-order and is expected to ship by September 25, 2026.
