Introducing Hypertune: Automated Overclocking for Enhanced Gaming Performance
A new automated overclocking tool, Hypertune, has officially launched after an extensive early access period involving over 60,000 PC DIY enthusiasts. Developed by a Miami-based gaming company in collaboration with Intel, Hypertune aims to simplify and optimize the process of boosting gaming performance on Windows PCs.
How Hypertune Works
Hypertune leverages Intel’s Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) software development kit (SDK) and benefits from direct engineering support from Intel. The platform is designed to automatically overclock both CPUs and GPUs, while also fine-tuning RAM settings to improve latency, frequency, and overall system responsiveness.
Upon installation, Hypertune analyzes your system’s hardware configuration, drivers, Windows settings, and other relevant parameters. This process, referred to as the Smart Optimization Engine, enables the software to generate a tailored optimization preset for each user. Once the preset is applied, users can expect immediate performance improvements without the need for manual tweaking.
Performance Gains and Compatibility
During demonstrations, Hypertune showcased its capabilities on two different systems. The first system, equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, achieved performance gains between 18.9% and 28.2%. The second system, featuring a Core i7-14700K and an RTX 3080 GPU, saw frame rate improvements ranging from 4.3% to 9.8%. While the company claims that performance boosts of up to 60% are possible in select scenarios, most users should expect more modest, yet still meaningful, enhancements.
Hypertune is compatible with both AMD and Intel CPU platforms, as well as GPUs from AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA. This broad compatibility ensures that a wide range of gaming PCs can benefit from the tool’s automated optimization features.
Subscription Model and Game Presets
The Hypertune software is available through a subscription model, priced at $9.99 per month or approximately $59.99 for an annual subscription. In addition to hardware optimization, the tool provides optimal game presets tailored to each user’s specific hardware configuration. These presets are designed to maximize in-game performance and can be applied with minimal effort, making advanced tuning accessible to users of all experience levels.
