Former AMD Director of Technical Marketing, Robert Hallock, has recently joined Intel as the Senior Director of Technical Marketing following a period of sabbatical. During his time off, Hallock managed his own company, which specialized in aftermarket car modifications. With a 12-year tenure at AMD, Hallock became the face of many of the company's technical videos and also played a role in presenting keynote product instructions, particularly when it came to the more intricate details of product introductions.
Hallock's new position at Intel, as indicated in his LinkedIn post, will primarily focus on AI for consumer processors. This aligns with Intel's upcoming announcement at Intel Innovation 2023. It is possible that Hallock will be involved in delivering presentations at Intel Innovation 2023 in September. In his LinkedIn post, Hallock mentions AI accelerators, suggesting that he will primarily work with the ex Movidius team. However, since he also mentions client computing, it is likely that his responsibilities will extend beyond just the AI aspect. Only time will tell if Hallock will have a similar role at Intel as he did at AMD or if he will be one of many directors at the company.
