Noctua Expands chromax.black Line with All-Black CPU Coolers

Noctua has announced the addition of all-black versions of the NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 CPU coolers to its chromax.black line. These new versions feature black fans and black coated heatsinks, providing the same quiet cooling performance as the original models but with a sleek stealth look. Roland Mossig, CEO of Noctua, stated that many users who build Small Form Factor systems value aesthetics as much as performance and quietness. The NH-D9L and NH-L9x65 are popular among Small Form Factor builders, making the introduction of the all-black chromax versions exciting.

The NH-D9L chromax.black and NH-L9x65 chromax.black are identical to the regular models, except for their color. They have black coated heatsinks, black fans with black anti-vibration pads, black fan clips, and black mounting parts. The thorough optimizations of the coating material and process ensure that the chromax.black models provide the same quiet cooling performance as the non-coated counterparts.

The NH-D9L is designed to provide excellent efficiency at a height of only 110 mm. Its low profile makes it suitable for compact Mini-ITX and Small Form Factor cases with parallel airflow paths. The NH-D9L always clears the RAM and PCIe slots, even on ITX motherboards. On the other hand, the NH-L9x65 is more powerful than its smaller siblings, with a height of 65 mm and four heatpipes. It retains the 95x95mm footprint, ensuring compatibility with RAM and PCIe slots on current motherboards.

Both coolers feature highly optimized NF-A9 and NF-A9x14 premium fans that support automatic speed control via PWM, resulting in remarkably quiet operation. They also come with Noctua's SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, NT-H1 thermal compound, and a 6-year manufacturer's warranty.
