Intel is set to expand its lineup of 14th Gen Core "Raptor Lake Refresh" desktop processors by introducing mainstream 65 W processor models that do not support overclocking and come with a cooling solution in the retail channel. These chips will be available for purchase on January 8, 2024. Intel has designated 15:00 Pacific time on January 8th as the availability time, which is also when the media can publish their reviews of these chips. The chips should be compatible with all Socket LGA1700 motherboards, including Intel 600-series and 700-series chipsets, as well as the entry-level H610. However, some of these boards may require UEFI firmware updates. The processor model numbers and specifications have been known for some time now and are starting to appear as placeholder listings on web-stores. It is possible that Intel may allow retailers to accept pre-orders a few days before January 8.
