According to two of NVIDIA's Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) service providers, Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) and King Yuan Electronics (KYEC), the company is sticking to its production schedule for the Ada Lovelace GPU. There have been no new instructions given to the backend providers regarding changes in component assembly output. It is believed that NVIDIA is focused on clearing any stock backlogs of graphics card models featuring previous generation architecture, specifically the second generation GeForce RTX 30-series built on Ampere.
The demand for the newly released GeForce RTX 4070 cards has been mild, with plenty of inventory remaining on shelves in the United States. The midweight GeForce RTX GPU has also received middling critical reception, with many suggesting that budget-conscious buyers should consider other options. Despite this, the market for discrete graphics cards is currently in a healthy state, with major production issues and fractured supply chains becoming less of a concern for electronics manufacturers. NVIDIA, as a market leader, seems content with proceedings, but their analysts are likely keeping a close eye on RTX 4070 sales figures. With their products readily available, there is no need for NVIDIA to change direction too sharply.
